Mosaic · Enterprise veterinary platform
Case 06 · Sole product designer · Product vision · Vet groups

The product as it should be, shown before it’s built.

Mosaic already had an MVP in code. What it needed next was a picture of the new features and the whole product, to raise money: a platform for corporate veterinary groups that run many clinics at once. I designed that vision, the screens and the keynote that sells it.

Given: a working MVP in code. The vision screens go beyond it: the new features and where the product goes next.

Mosaic on three screens: the group dashboard, bulk pricing with the rabies vaccine selected and a 5% change previewed, and online booking on a phone

The group, the clinic and the owner: three screens of one platform.

The problem

Vet groups buy clinics that each run their own software. Prices, codes and reports drift apart, and every change is manual.

What I did

Mapped who uses it and traced one visit through every role, then designed the vision screens and a keynote that puts each problem next to its answer.

The result

A live demo and pitch to 20+ companies at the conference, then to investors. At least five came back interested.

01 · Who it’s for

Three levels, one patient visit.

The same product serves a group’s leadership, the people in each clinic and the owner at home. I mapped who does what, then traced one visit through every role.

02 · One visit, four people

Click through one visit, device by device.

Jennifer books on her phone, Aisha checks Max in on the front-desk tablet, Maria takes vitals on hers, Dr. Chen examines with AI Scribe and Aisha takes payment at the desk. Jennifer’s phone follows along.

Five steps, five screens. Use the tabs to move through the visit.

03 · The pitch

Five problems a vet group knows, and the screen that answers each.

The keynote was built for a conference, then used by the founder with investors. Each part puts the reality of running a group of clinics next to the product that changes it.

All screens below are vision screens made for the pitch, beyond the MVP in code. They follow one day. Overnight, a regional manager raises the rabies vaccine price by 5%. At 2:30 PM Max comes in for a wellness exam: the vaccine on his bill is already $29.40, and AI catches a test that was done but not charged.

The deck’s four promises
One source of truth

Across every practice, to drive pricing, staffing and growth.

Less overhead

AI and automation take the admin out of the visit.

Fewer third-party apps

Booking, notes and payments built in, not bolted on.

Control you choose

The group decides what it sets centrally and what each clinic keeps.

01 · Control
The reality

A price change for the whole group takes weeks, clinic by clinic. Policy moves at the speed of the slowest clinic.

In Mosaic

One change, every clinic, planned and traceable. Pricing, services and compliance run from one place, and every change leaves a trace.

  • Preview the change before it goes live
  • Schedule it outside opening hours
  • Every change in the audit log, with revert
02 · Data
The reality

Every acquired clinic brings its own system. Ten systems, ten versions of the truth, and reports nobody fully trusts.

In Mosaic

One source of truth across the group. Data is cleaned before it reaches reporting, and product codes are mapped to one standard set.

  • Network score, revenue and revenue per visit
  • What changed overnight, from the audit log
  • Top and lowest practices, one click deeper
Group dashboard: network score 8.7, system status, compliance, revenue $412M and $156 per visit, what changed overnight and top practices
03 · Notes
The reality

Every minute spent on notes is a minute not spent on care. Paperwork caps how many visits a clinic can take.

In Mosaic

The exam writes its own notes. AI Scribe records the visit and turns it into a medical note in the clinic’s template, then a summary the owner can read.

  • Recording and transcription inside the record
  • SOAP note in the format the vet chooses
  • Findings and home care written for the owner
04 · Charges
The reality

Services get done in the exam room and never reach the invoice. The clinic finds out at month end, if ever.

In Mosaic

No lost charges. Before payment, AI compares what happened in the visit with what is on the bill and flags the gap.

  • Done in the exam, missing on the bill: flagged with the reason
  • Front desk adds it in one click
  • Client context for handling the payment
05 · Booking
The reality

The front desk spends the day on the phone instead of with the clients standing in front of it.

In Mosaic

Owners book on their own. Online booking reads the clinic’s real availability, fills open slots and leaves the desk to the people in the room.

  • Pet, visit type, vet and time on one page
  • The same steps one at a time on a phone
  • Fewer no-shows: reminders and open slots refilled
The rest of the deck

After the product, the keynote sold the partnership: how each group shapes its own version, and who owns the software in the end.

Shaped with each group

Clickable prototypes for the group’s feedback, then refined prototypes with its direction, before anything is built.

Owned by the group

At a set point, the group can take full ownership: its own team trained, a team built for it, or a certified partner.
